EcoBay Fresh Market is Ferrymead's independent fresh-food store — big on produce, local suppliers, and knowing our customers by name. We're looking for someone to join the team on Saturdays and Sundays, every weekend.
What the day looks like: running a checkout (and our Fresh Club loyalty till — we'll train you), keeping produce and shelves looking sharp, helping customers find things, and pitching in wherever the day needs. It's on your feet, hands-on, and there's some lifting — produce arrives in crates, not pixels.
What we're looking for: reliable above everything — the weekend runs on you turning up. Friendly with customers, happy to learn, comfortable being busy. No grocery experience needed; we'd rather teach a good person the till than un-teach bad habits.
The details: both Saturday and Sunday, roughly 8:30am–5:30pm each day — tell us in your application if your availability differs. Pay depends on experience — we'll discuss it with you at interview. Staff get first look at our best fresh stuff, and you'll be working for owners, not a head office.
